Enjoy ten days in Ireland with kids following our tried-and-tested 10-day itinerary for families. My family itinerary covers the best places to see in Ireland on a first visit and special stops just for kids.  Ireland is very kid-friendly and a road trip with kids in Ireland is easily a wonderful family vacation all family members will hold as a cherished memory.  I have been living in Ireland for over 19 years and I have two children who called Ireland home.  With them, we have travelled extensively in Ireland: we have seen touristy places, local places, hidden gems; we have stayed in hotels, castles, and campsites; and of course, we…

Things to do in Avondale house and why we love it for a family day out with the kids near Dublin. Avondale House in a Home and Estate in County Wicklow and a wonderful place to spend a day out with the kids. Originally the house and estate of Parnell, until a few years ago Avondale House was a nice estate with a large playground cfae and a fascinating forest walk. However, Avondale House and Gardens recently went through a significant makeover and it is now equipped with a tree walk, a state-of-the-art playground for children and food options. We used to go Avondale all the time: having family nearby,…

Malahide Castle with kids: why we love this family friendly castle near Dublin and recommend it for an easy, fun, family day out with the kids. Malahide Castle is one of the most popular places for a family day out in Dublin and it is easy to see why: the castle that gives the name of the estate is beautiful (and can be nice for parents to visit), there are expansive grounds for kids to run around and wonderful playgrounds with huge climbing structures perfect for children small and big. Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park: all you need to know to plan a fun family day out in Kildare

    May 13, 2020 /

Lullymore Village is a beautiful family attraction in Country Kildare. It has a nice playground, a lovely boardwalk, a fun road train, a fairy garden, educational opportunities and a family-friendly restaurant and indoor play area. Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park was a great discovery for us. Located in County Kildare, it is a great place for a family day out with young kids as it has opportunities to walk, play (indoor and outdoor) a fun road train and educational opportunities in the heritage village. We first went where the kids were tiny and we all had great fun! These are the best things to see and do in Lullymore.

This is our review and why we recommend it for a fun family day out near Dublin with small kids Glenroe Farm is an open farm in County Wicklow with lovely spaces and activities for families with kids.
